The crappy pictures cannot convey how EXCITED the kids were to find snowdrops and crocuses. We spent one afternoon outside reading Flower Fairies of the Spring and The Root Children.
Today we spent the day at The Purple Palace. I pruned back the holly shrubs, raked some leaves, created a “bear den” in the back with some evergreen boughs, put together a garden bed, and dug posts for the four corners of the kid’s future sunflower house. The kids played happily for hours and we had a picnic lunch outside.
