Seeing that some of our friends in the Midwest have gotten five feet of snow this winter, I will try to keep my complaints about this *unusual winter*–as everyone assures me here in Maine–to myself. That doesn’t mean I’m going to sit idly, though. Through gritted teeth, Tig and I said, It’s going to be spring gosh darnit.
This weekend, Tig kickstarted our seedlings with the help of the kiddos. We read some Spring Equinox books like A New Beginning and some belated leprechaun stories. Because it’s spring. Really, it is.
I’m not certain where in Maine you are residing, but for some reason I’m thinking you may be close to the Rockland Rockport area. Just a note that the children might like a trip to Hope to visit Hope Elephants hopeelephants.org. We have a summer home in Camden and are looking forward to getting our boat back home this summer as we are presently in Rhode Island.

Nice, we are close enough to Rockland and Camden. This summer, we visited the elephants and the kids enjoyed it.
