I’ve been trying to keep this quiet, but I can’t hold it in any longer. My article is going to be published in Good Old Boat Magazine’s Cruising Memories for the Sep/Oct issue…Is that the one they give away at the Annapolis Boat show?!? Either way, we are so excited to see it published. And in Good Old Boat, nonetheless. I have no idea when it hits the stands, but hope you get a chance to see it.

Woo hoo! Congratulations! We subscribe and I look forward to seeing it. Michael
Yes, indeed, Serena! Your article is in the September issue. It looks great in there too. That IS the issue that will be spread around at the Annapolis show. I expect that it will begin arriving in subscribers’ mailboxes next week and it should be on the newsstands at the very end of August.
I just received my copy in the mail today. I enjoyed your article and love reading of your adventures.
Thanks! Great to have you aboard.
I ordered a free copy of Good Old Boat, which arrived today. Yep, the September/October issue, which brought me here. Brilliant timing, since I’m considering doing the same thing with my family in 3-5 years.
Our twin daughters are 9 years old already, so I’m still a bit uncertain about 32′, especially for an extended cruise. It’s early days yet–we need to learn to sail and to start looking at boats–but I still plan to buy the smallest boat we can use, not the biggest we can afford.
Thank you for the blog. I look forward to your further adventures!
Although we’ve only been cruising a few months now, we’ve heard the ages of 6-12 seem to be the sweet spot in terms of kids. So don’t delay. As long as the boat is a good safe boat, almost any size will do. Kids especially are adaptable. Best of luck & keep us posted. We love meeting up with other families.
