I’ve known Teaspoon (not her real name) since she was a tiny babe, and her mother even longer. Jona and I go way back. We met in our freshman year of college (oh my, has it been that long?) Over the years, we’ve added spouses and children. The last time we saw each other was a year ago during our beach vacation. So much has changed since then.
As soon as Teaspoon walked in the door from school, she took V by the hand and they ran into her room to play. And they’ve been having a good time since, with a little bit of preschool squabbling here and there, of course.
This year, Spoony turned a big girl four. Four is for ballerinas and princesses, birthday cake and gymnastics at Little Gym, where she had her birthday party.
It was also really great to see old friends again, and to be a part of each other’s growing families for an ever so short period of time.
In other news, O gave his first kiss to Baby Dot (also not her real name), Teaspoon’s younger sister. Watch out, Z!
